Nyamatsatse Festival 2024
We are delighted to invite you to the Nyamatsatse Festival 2024 which begins on the 4th of August in Harare, Zimbabwe, and continues through the 7 festival-ceremony days until our final all-night festivities in Masvingo, Zimbabwe.
The Festival ends with the light of Nyamatsatse, the Morning Star, on the 11th of August.
This year our themes are Africa’s Spiritual History: The Story of Nehanda Nyamhita, according to the new tradition that is being born in the spiritual revolution of Southern Africa.
We will have music, theatre, art, workshops, panels, discussions, celebrations, storytelling and ritual. Just like last year, the program will be published as a countdown to the first day of the festival.

Nyamatsatse Festival 2023
We are delighted to invite you to the Nyamatsatse Festival 2023 which begins on the 17th of September at Lake Chivero, and continues through the 7 festival-ceremony days until our final all-night festivities with the Njuzu, the Water Spirits, at Vanilla Beach Lake Chivero on the 23rd of September.
The Festival ends with the light of Nyamatsatse, the Morning Star, on the 24th of September.
This year our themes are Water, Women, Stars and the Time of the Flood. We are focusing on Water Spirits and Women - the Goddess, the Female Voice, the Sacred Feminine in ALL of us, men and women, as according to tradition, and as according to the new tradition that is being born in the spiritual revolution of Southern Africa.
We will have music, theatre, art, workshops, panels, discussions, celebrations, storytelling and ritual. Just like last year, the program will be published as a countdown to the first day of the festival.
Ticket Prices:
-5 USD - day (+3 USD/vehicle for the Chivero Location)
-25 USD - the whole week
-50 USD - sponsor tickets which include a special gift, a boat ride and free camping
-CAMPING - 5 USD per tent for the Chivero Location
-Chivero Location - 3 USD per car for the National Park Fee

Who are we?
The Nyamatsatse movement seeks to search and bring to light the hidden knowledge of indigenous cultures and ancient civilizations, and use it to transform lives for the better and feed the future of humanity with hope and healing. The Nyamatsatse Festival, a meeting point for the movement, occurs during one week of the year in Zimbabwe, and is run by Mhondoro Dreams Productions.

Indigenous Knowledge Systems
There is a wealth of information that is carried within the indigenous cultures of Southern Africa and beyond. It is Nyamatsatse movement's quest to research, publish, and create using the spiritual principles known to ancestors.

Research and Investigation
The Nyamatsatse movement uses audio-visual mediums to explore and investigate rare knowledge that is contained within our spaces. It also uses literature as a method of documenting myths and hidden knowledge.

The Arts
in celebration of existence, Nyamatsatse uses indigenous knowledge systems principles in order to create music, theatre, film, visual art and dance among others, as methods of teaching, inspiring and fellowshipping with humanity.
